Brazil hosted the 2014 World Cup, where Germany became the world champions by beating Argentina by 1-0 in the final. Russia was awarded the hosting rights on 2 December 2010 with Wolf Zabivaka™ being the 2018 World Cup mascot. It was designed by student Ekaterina Bocharova and was selected through online voting. This year, FIFA 2018 World Cup  is scheduled to be from 14 June 2018 to 15 July 2018 in Russia.  Thirty two (32) teams have been divided into eight groups, consisting of four teams each. Two new teams of this year are Iceland and Panama.The top two (2) placed teams from each group will qualify for the knockout rounds.
